"User" means anyone opening any page or clicking on any link on this site and reading or copying the content of any page or any link on this site. "Site" means the East Timor Law Journal world wide web site and or any page or part of a page of that site and or any link to a third party site.

The original official published Portuguese text of legislative instruments enacted by the National Parliament or the Government prevails. Not all laws in force have been translated into English or English translations are not readily available and so the compilation of laws in English is not complete. In the case of UNTAET law (Regulations, Executive Orders, Directives and Notifications), the official versions published in the UNTAET Official Gazette prevail.
